SAINT-PETERSBOURG (Russia) – The Algerian stand at the Russian-African International Exhibition in Saint-Petersburg, organized on the occasion of the 2nd Russia-Africa Summit and its Economic and Humanitarian Forum, is arousing great interest among Russian and African economic operators, who have shown their willingness to establish commercial partnerships with their Algerian counterparts in different sectors.

The Algerian stand, supervised by the company “Tasdir”, a subsidiary of the Algerian Fairs and Exports Company (Safex), is an opportunity and an ideal platform for the promotion of a wide range of local products, including agri-food, agricultural and manufactured products. , in promising markets in Russia and Africa.

This exhibition is part of the Russia-Africa Summit and its Economic and Humanitarian Forum, which records the participation of no less than 3,000 delegates from some sixty countries to examine the state and prospects of relations between the two parties, particularly in the political, economic, humanitarian, media and technological fields.

Hafida Mokdad, head of communication at Safex, said the Algerian stand aims to strengthen Algerian-Russian relations and expand areas of bilateral cooperation, highlighting the role of the company “Tasdir” in promoting the product. through the organization of participation in economic exhibitions abroad to “promote the Algerian product to the four corners of the world”.

In this regard, she highlighted Algeria’s new orientation in recent years, aimed at encouraging exports of Algerian non-hydrocarbon products, particularly to the African continent and new markets, such as Russia. .

The manager was pleased with the great influx of Russian operators recorded on the first day at the Algerian stand and their great interest in the quality of Algerian products, particularly food and agricultural products.

In addition to its economic and commercial character, the Algerian stand is also an opportunity to promote the Algeria destination, especially since this exhibition is part of an event that is the subject of wide international media coverage, she estimated.

The Algerian stand includes national companies from different sectors, who have come to present their products, but also the services they intend to export.

In this context, the National Company of Approval and Technical Control (ENACT), specialized in the quality control of industrial products and equipment, participates in this event with a view to establishing international partnerships in the months and years to come” through Russia, which represents a “large and promising market”, said ENACT’s commercial director, Adlane Derradji.

The company, a subsidiary of the Agro logistics industrial group “AGROLOG”, is ISO 17020 and ISO 9001 certified, which allows it to export its various services to all countries of the world, said the manager, noting that ENACT already exported its technical services to several European countries, particularly in the field of food product control.

For his part, Ikram Boughanem, marketing manager at Expensimed, a company specializing in medical solutions, particularly for diabetology, said that participation in this international economic event for professionals made it possible to explore international markets, particularly in Africa and in Russia.

She indicated that she had, in this context, talks with several Russian and African economic operators present at the event, recalling the economic advantages and business opportunities offered by Algeria in recent years thanks to the improvement of the legislative framework governing investment.

Representatives of 49 African countries, including 17 heads of state of the continent, are taking part in the Russia-Africa Summit to promote partnership, particularly in the political, economic, scientific, technological, cultural and humanitarian fields.

The Summit, placed under the theme “For peace, security and development”, will be sanctioned by the adoption of a number of cooperation documents and the Action Plan of the Russia-Africa Partnership Forum 2023-2026.
