ALGIERS- Algeria will celebrate, Thursday, May 4, the Arab Day of Financial Inclusion, marked by the holding of an information day on financial inclusion and climate change, organized by the Professional Association of Banks and financial institutions (ABEF).
Organized at the National School of Statistics and Applied Economics (University Pole of Koléa), this information day will have as its theme: “financial inclusion to strengthen efforts to fight once morest climate change”, chosen by the Arab Monetary Fund, explains the ABEF in a press release.
This “important” event will bring together representatives of the various ministerial departments, employers’ organizations, banking, insurance and finance professionals, the world of communication as well as business experts, said the same source.
Regarding the themes that will be discussed throughout the day, they will be organized in two interactive discussion panels and led by business experts each in the field that concerns them.
The first panel will address the theme of “financial inclusion and financial education”, focusing in particular on the definition of climate change and financial inclusion, the role of digitization in the development of financial inclusion, as well as the protection of consumers of banking and digital services in Algeria, explains ABEF.
As for the second panel, it will be devoted to the “development of the culture of green finance”, during which it is a question of discussing the means of supporting the green finance sector and green projects, the contribution of banks in the culture of green finance, as well as green bonds, the same source pointed out.
