Joint military exercises between Russia and Algeria.
The armies of Algeria and Russia will carry out –for the first time in the African country– joint anti-terrorist exercises between November 16 and 18, the Al Mayadeen correspondent reported.
The training will take place in the Hammaguir area, under the title “Tactical actions to search and destroy terrorists in the desert”within the framework of military cooperation between the two countries.
The first Russian-Algerian joint tactical exercise reportedly took place in October 2021 at the Tarskoye training ground in the Russian Republic of North Ossetia.
Last September, the Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman, Maria Zajarova, confirmed that antiterrorist exercises between Russia and Algeria are not directed against a third country.
