Things are finally moving at Alfa Romeo. While we are witnessing the debut of the new Tonale SUV, we now have a date for the presentation of the super car promised by the Italian firm.
It is therefore on August 30 that we will have our first glimpse of this model awaited by fans of the brand. The confirmation came directly from the big boss, Jean-Philippe Imparato, who was on the side of China to present reworked versions of the Giulia and Stelvio models.
The new super car is important for the manufacturer, because it might well be the last to be equipped with a combustion engine in the history of the manufacturer, if nothing changes concerning the legislations, of course.
Jean-Philippe Imparato does not hide his enthusiasm regarding this model: “This project is a dream come true, inspired by a daring team who wanted to achieve something unique. »

Detail of the future Alfa Romeo 6 C
On the occasion of this announcement, the company has released a new image to make our mouths water. We will remember that at the beginning of the year, we were shown one of the lights of the car. What to expect ? Rumors go in all directions.
The company has already hinted at a retro design, potentially inspired by the gorgeous T33 Stradale. The super car is expected to adopt the 6C name, which would make sense considering the fire design already shown, but that’s all yet to be clarified. The whole would also suggest the presence of a 6-cylinder engine under the hood. Again, a simple deduction if we take into account that the 4C was powered by a 4-cylinder, the 8C by a V8. And Alfa Romeo has a 6-cylinder in its lineup, the 2.9-liter turbo unit that powers the Quadrifoglio versions of the Giulia and Stelvio. It normally offers 505 horsepower, but it delivers 540 with the GTA variant of the Giulia. We might expect a little more for this eventual 6C.
The expected model would see its print run be limited. We are in fact talking regarding a flagship product, a signature as the firm has often offered us during its history. The 8C which preceded it had been produced at the rate of 829 copies (500 coupes and 329 convertibles).
You will also have to expect a hefty bill, but since this model will be a classic for collectors, some will see it as an investment.
The world premiere of this creation will take place in Arese, at the Alfa Romeo Museum, in northern Italy.
