The exit door from SYRIZA was opened by two of Stefanos Kasselakis’ close associates.
Specifically, the MPs Alexandros Avlonitis and Petros Pappas announced that they are becoming independent from the party and are resigning as members. “This is not my party,” he said and spoke in the worst terms about the conference process.
SYRIZA: Alexandros Avlonitis leaves the party
It is estimated that at least 5 MPs are expected to leave SYRIZA.
With the departure of 5 MPs, including Stefanos Kasselakis, SYRIZA is forced to resign from the position of official opposition.
Rally Christidou, Kyriaki Malama and Iota Poulos are on the verge of exit, a development that will lead SYRIZA to third place below PASOK, since if 5 of the 35 leave, it will lose second place, i.e. the role of official opposition .

**Interview: Insights on LumApps’ Recent Acquisition by Bridgepoint**
**Host:** Welcome to today’s segment! We have an exciting topic to discuss: the recent acquisition of LumApps by Bridgepoint for $650 million. Joining us is tech analyst, Claire Dupont. Welcome, Claire!
**Claire:** Thank you for having me! It’s great to be here.
**Host:** Let’s dive right in. What does this acquisition mean for LumApps and the broader tech landscape in France?
**Claire:** This acquisition is a significant milestone not just for LumApps, but it also highlights the growing appeal of French tech companies to private equity investors. LumApps, known for its powerful intranet solutions, has managed to position itself as a leader in the digital workplace sector. Being acquired by Bridgepoint provides the resources and support needed for further expansion.
**Host:** Interesting! How do you think this will impact LumApps’ operations and their existing customers?
**Claire:** With Bridgepoint’s support, we can expect LumApps to accelerate its product development and perhaps expand its market reach. For existing customers, this could mean enhanced services and features as the company scales up. However, they may also face a transition period as the new ownership structure takes hold.
**Host:** What does this mean for the future of venture capital and tech startups in France?
**Claire:** This acquisition sends a strong positive signal to investors and other tech startups in France. It demonstrates that there’s viable potential for growth and profitability in the French tech space. We may see an influx of capital directed toward innovative startups, as funds are increasingly recognizing the value in companies like LumApps.
**Host:** Do you think we will see more tech companies looking to be acquired rather than pursuing IPOs?
**Claire:** Absolutely. In the current market, many tech companies may find private equity acquisitions more appealing than IPOs, especially considering the complexities and costs associated with going public. Acquisitions can provide immediate financial benefits and allow companies to focus on growth without the pressures of public scrutiny.
**Host:** Thank you, Claire, for providing such valuable insights! It will be interesting to see how LumApps evolves under Bridgepoint’s ownership.
**Claire:** Thank you! I’m looking forward to seeing how this unfolds as well.
**Host:** That wraps up our segment for today. Stay tuned for more news on the evolving tech landscape!
