Alexandria Festival kicks off with the slogan “Cinema for All People”

The ninth session of the Alexandria Short Film Festival began the day before yesterday under the slogan “Cinema for All People”, with the participation of more than 70 films from 46 countries at the Sayed Darwish Theater (Alexandria Opera), in the presence of a number of makers and amateurs of the seventh art.

The opening ceremony included an artistic performance by the Indian Embassy band in Egypt, and honoring the actress, Sama Ibrahim, and the cinematic clothing outlet, Refaat Abdel Hakim.

The opening came with the Australian movie (Shark), directed by Nash Edgerton, in its premiere in the Middle East and Africa, while the rest of the film screenings will continue until February 21 at Metro Cinema, the Freedom Center for Creativity, and the Anfushi Culture Palace.
