Berlin (AFP) – Germany’s Alexander Zverev, the Olympic gold holder, reached the semi-finals of the Halle Tennis Tournament on his grass courts, by defeating Chilean Nicolas Jarry 7-5, 6-3 on Friday.

The former world number two next plays Kazakh Alexander Bublik, who qualified following his Italian opponent, world number nine Yannick Sener, withdrew from the second group due to injury on Friday.
