Alexander Albon feels his 7th-place finish at the 2023 Italian Grand Prix, matching Williams’ best of the season, masked a “surprising lack of pace”. Albon passed McLaren’s Lando Norris several laps at Monza and took the checkered flag in 7th place, his second 7th place of the season following the Canadian Grand Prix.
Williams’ package is known for its straight-line strength, but McLaren has a weakness in its low downforce configuration, which it is working to fix this season.
