“Alex Hugo” is getting a tenth season on France 3 with Samuel Le Bihan

Launched in 2014, the “Alex Hugo” series will celebrate its tenth anniversary and success is still there for this creation by Franck Thilliez and Nicolas Tackian and worn by Samuel Le Bihan since the beginning. This tenth season opens this Tuesday with a new episode, “La Vallée des Vautours”, in which Le Bihan (almost in the regional stage since the adopted Niçois did not have many kilometers to do to reach Hautes-Alpes and Briançon where this episode was filmed last summer) reprises his role as a former great Marseille cop, nicknamed “La Tendresse”, who chose to leave the city and a violence that he no longer tolerated to isolate himself in the mountains, driven by his need for freedom. He now occupies a position in a rural police force and enjoys a tranquility to which he was previously unaccustomed.

A “guest” English inspector

This Tuesday, on the heights of Lusagne, in a very isolated place, a real massacre took place. The two victims, killed at close range in their car, are English; a hiker who was unlucky enough to be there, in the wrong place and at the wrong time, was also shot dead in cold blood. Two of the victims being British, Alex will have to welcome Brian Davies (Charlie Anson), Chief Inspector at the National Crime Agency, sent there by British Justice.

As cohabitation gradually settles in and Leblanc (Fabien Baïardi) revises his English, Alex considers a new hypothesis: what if the killer’s target was not the couple? A hypothesis that will lead him into a duel at the top of a perilous via ferrata. This episode written by Jean-Luc Estèbe and directed by Sylvie Ayme also relies on a dense casting since we will find on screen Mikaël Fitoussi, Stéphane Rideau, Lily Nambininsoa and Nicolas Vaude. Another new episode, “Les Engagés”, should also be broadcast soon.
