A batch of fresh ground beef is subject to a product recall by health authorities. It is suspected of containing traces of E. Coli bacteria.
Be careful not to consume this product. The government website Drink reminder has just issued an alert bulletin for a batch of ground beef from the Charal brand. These are fresh 5% minced steaks sold in bags of one, two or six.
The lots are as follows: they were marketed from 08/2/2023 to 08/14/2023 in the following brands: Auchan, Carrefour, Casino, Diapar, Franprix, Intermarché, Leclerc, Leader Price, Monoprix, Simply Market or even U system.
Tests revealed suspicious traces of E.Coli bacteria. It is likely to cause sometimes bloody diarrhoea, abdominal pain and vomiting, with or without fever. These symptoms may be followed (5 to 8% of cases) by severe renal complications, mainly in children.
However, in the absence of symptoms within ten days following consumption of the products concerned, there is no need to worry and consult a doctor.
