The National Meteorological Service (SMN) issued a Yellow alert for rain for this Tuesday in Neuquén. They detailed the places affected.
As reported by the SMN, the warning will apply to Cordillera de Huiliches, Cordillera de Lácar and south of Aluminé.
Regarding the schedule, they indicated from the national agency that the rainfall are expected in the morning.
“The area will be affected by rains of varying intensity, especially in the highest areas of the mountain range, where it is not ruled out that some Precipitation can be in the form of mixed rain and snow”, they described.
They added that “values of accumulated precipitation between 15 and 30 mm, may be exceeded in a timely manner.
On Monday, a rain alert was issued for areas of Neuquén, Río Negro and Chubut.
What does yellow alert mean
From the SMN they explained the different alert levels. Yellow indicates “possible weather phenomena with damage capacity and risk of momentary interruption of daily activities”.
They go from green (phenomena that do not imply risks) to red (with the capacity to cause emergencies or disasters).
