Aleksander Fabisiak is dead. The actor was 78 years old

Aleksander Fabisiak, a theater and film actor, died at the age of 78. Information about his death was provided by the Stary Theater in Krakow, with which Fabisiak had been associated for 45 years.

“It is with sadness that we received the news of the death of Aleksander Fabisiak,” said the National Stary Theater. Helena Modrzejewska in Krakow on social media. The actor was associated with the facility for a total of 45 years. “It was on the stages at ul. Jagiellońska and Starowiślna that he created nearly 70 wonderful creations, collaborating with the most outstanding theater artists” – recalled in a post on Facebook.

Aleksander Fabisiak is dead

Aleksander Fabisiak was born in 1945 in Katowice. He graduated from the Academy of Theater Arts. S. Wyspiański, where he later lectured, and in the years 1993-1999 he was the dean of the Faculty of Acting. He appeared in performances by directors such as Andrzej Wajda, Jerzy Jarocki and Konrad Swinarski. He also had roles on the big and small screen. He appeared in, among others, the films “Katyń”, “80 Million” and “Afterimage”, as well as the series “Kryminalni” and “Agata’s Law”.

– The sadness and tragedy of an actor’s work is that the actor lasts as long as the memory of him lasts. But the memory of Aleksander Fabisiak is very present in the Stary Theater ensemble, said Beniamin M. Bukowski, deputy artistic director. As he emphasized, Aleksander Fabisiak made a double contribution to the life of the Krakow theater – firstly, as an actor, and secondly, as a teacher.
