Alejandro Zendejas is getting closer to Cruz Azul; Anselmi called the player himself

The Liga MX has already started but its market does not stop moving and in Mexico City one of the least expected signings is being cooked up but, if it comes to fruition, it would be one of the bombshells of the summer in Mexico.

This Saturday, W DEPORTES learned that Alejandro Zendejas is increasingly closer to Cruz Azul, which had already been asking regarding him for several weeks and in recent hours has intensified its interest.

La Máquina will lose two players who play on the right flank. Rodrigo Huescas, who will go to Denmark, and Uriel Antuna, who closed his transfer to AEK in Greece. Therefore, they need quality replacements and in America there is one that they like a lot.

The Mexican-American still has a contract in Coapa, so if the Azul wants to take him, they will have to pay at least 8 million dollars, or a little more, as André Jardine said in a press conference on Friday:

“If someone wants to take players from this team that has won many things and reached a high level, they will have to come with a very good offer.”

Carlos Salas, our digital coordinator, posted this morning on his Twitter account that Cruz Azul had offered Erik Lira to lower the cost of Zendejas a little, but the Eagles were not interested, although there is a name in La Noria that the Amarillo team does like and that is Gonzalo Piovi, who Ame had already asked Racing regarding before he arrived in Mexico.

MARTIN ANSELMI CALLED ZENDEJAS HIMSELF

Cruz Azul is so interested in signing Alejandro Zendejas that Martímido Anselmi himself called the player to find out his position, to let him know regarding his project and how he would fit in. For now, nothing has been finalized, but La Máquina is confident that the signing can be closed.
