Alejandra Azcárate accepted that she received a little “of her own medicine” for a plane scandal

Alejandra Azcaratein an interview with RCN, nothing was saved. She was dispatched once morest the media who made a party with the plane in which her husband was involved. She also stated that she was calm and the one who should answer was a third party.

And clearly, that she and her husband did have a really bad time in the midst of all the media turmoil. But strong, independent and self-confident, she managed to get ahead and even responded – of course – with some irony regarding all the criticism and accusations she had to receive for the drug plane found in San Andrés.

Now, that karma exists, is something that she was able to verify in a certain way. That is why she did accept that she received a little of what she has given and why so many can question her. And it is that she has not been trivial: she has made fun of fat women (she did it in 2012) and she also took out a very despicable commercial where she despised a fellow seat on a plane. Among other things.

But she made it clear that a woman like her will always be the loser in Colombia, for whatever reason.

“I’m not one for lukewarm eggs”

I have not only been cynical or acid, I have been impertinent, haughty, provocative, daringa, because José Manuel, with me the eggs are not to my liking, they are either soft or hard, not lukewarm, and there are people who are shocked by that, more so being a woman and I understand it, but I have never used my sarcasm or my work to shoot someone in a personal capacity,” he clarified.

That was when her husband, Miguel Jaramillo, went further. She complemented by saying that in a macho country like Colombia it is very clear that someone like Azcárate, uncomfortable, is going to be an easy target of attacks:

“87% of the attacks that Alejandra received were from men (…) we are a country of sexists and we cannot stand that a woman with attitude and courage really says things as they are”.

The interview has been received in equal parts, with support for the comedian and also with a lot of skepticism.
