PHILADELPHIA – Saint Joseph’s sophomore guard Aleah Snead has been named Atlantic 10 Player of the week for her standout performances in two victories last week. This marks the first time in Snead’s career she has received this honor.
Snead, a Philadelphia native, has solidified her role as a starting guard for the Hawks, averaging 19.0 points,4.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 2.5 steals over the two games.

Snead made headlines with a career-high 22 points against Davidson, including an impressive 13 points in the first half. “Thirteen of her career-high 22 points against Davidson came in the first half,” the official release stated. “The sophomore recording all of her career-best five steals in the opening 20 minutes to help pace the Hawks to a 14-point win on the road.”
