Alcaraz now has four Grand Slam trophies, according to Reuters. They have the best record in major finals. He has consecutively won Wimbledon, US Open 2022 and the French Open title last month.
According to AFP, Alcaraz’s victory signals the arrival of a new era in men’s tennis.
The Spanish third seed put on a brilliant performance to win. The win gave him his fourth career Grand Slam title.
At the age of 21, Alcaraz has won as many Grand Slam titles as Boris Becker, Bjorn Borg and Mats Wilander at the same age.
He is the sixth player to win back-to-back French Open and Wimbledon titles.
