Substitute driver Nyck de Vries (27) takes over his car, the Dutchman had already driven the Aston Martin of Sebastian Vettel (Heppenheim) in the first free practice session in Monza.
According to Williams, Albon felt unwell in the morning and “obtained medical advice from the FIA (world association, ed.) and the local hospital”, he is now undergoing appropriate treatment. “Alex is in good spirits and the team wishes him a speedy recovery,” it said.
