The controversy surrounding the former president arose after Yáñez, a journalist and presenter, filed a criminal complaint against Fernández. She accused him of physical violence and harassment.
Last June, the Argentine justice system found messages suggesting alleged physical abuse by Fernández towards YáñezThe complaint comes amid an investigation into Fernández for alleged influence peddling.
Julián Ercolini, the federal judge in charge of the investigation, discovered on the cell phone of María Cantero, the former president’s secretary, photographs of Yáñez with signs of violence and text and audio messages in which the former first lady accused Fernández of attacking her in her residence.
The messages and photos of the alleged attacks date from different times, the newspaper Clarín said.The content of the evidence is located from 2019 to 2024.
However, Yáñez informed Judge Ercolini of his decision to file the complaint.which led the judge to order restriction and protection measures in his favor.
Yanez, 43, is an actress and journalist. She met Fernandez, 65, in 2013 during an interview, and they began dating in 2014.
