Fabiola Yáñez, Argentine actress and journalist, spoke for the first time about the complaint she filed with the Argentine courts against former President Alberto Fernández for physical violence and harassment, stating that he had even been subjected to “psychological terrorism.”
Fernández’s ex-wife, who gave an interview to Infobae from her home in Madrid, Spain, said that she was a victim of infidelity during their relationship and reported having been mistreated “for five years.”

The 43-year-old former first lady also acknowledged that her last months in office, until last December, She lived separately from the then president in the Alex Reed house at Quinta de Olivos to avoid “a scandal.”
She also referred to the photographs leaked this week showing bruises on various parts of her body, from the court file: “I was destroyed, but I was destroyed for my son. I would never have wanted a photo like that to appear of me. What woman wants to see herself on all the television shows and in the media of the world like that?” she said.
Likewise, Yáñez, who did not offer details of the physical abuse for judicial reasons, She reported having suffered “telephone harassment” and “psychological terrorism” by Fernández. She claimed that he constantly threatened to commit suicide if she took certain actions.
The former first lady also mentioned that her relationship with Fernández lasted 14 years, but that it had recently broken down due to the former president’s infidelities with several famous women.
“I have taken care of this man; I have taken care of him from so many things that he has done”said Yáñez, referring to the videos allegedly taken by Fernández in the Casa Rosada.
Yáñez did not receive support from the Ministry created by Fernández
Yáñez said she did not receive any help from the Ministry of Women, Gender and Diversity, created by Fernández in 2019, and that she decided to file a complaint “for all the women who feel they cannot do anything and who are victims of this type of violence.”
Following the complaint filed on August 6, Federal Judge Julián Ercolini banned Fernández from leaving Argentina. He also ordered him not to approach or contact Yáñez in any way.
In a brief statement, the former president denied the accusations against him and said he would present evidence of their falsehood to the courts.
