Albert, 77, died of suffocation leaving the chip shop

It is a terrible tragedy that occurred in the night from Saturday to Sunday in front of the entrance to the Mouscron station. At around 11:15 p.m., paramedics went to the scene to help Albert Yzerbyt, who had apparently choked on food.

This Saturday evening, Albert Yzerbyt and his wife went to the Belga Frites chip shop located opposite the station. Left with their order, they joined their car. It was then that Albert collapsed in the parking lot, under the eyes of his companion. For nearly an hour, the emergency services carried out a cardiac massage. Firefighters did everything to resuscitate him. Unfortunately, this did not save the victim who died on the spot.

A tragedy for this family who only hoped to eat a bite, and whose evening ended tragically. “The only thing we saw were the flashing lights. But, given our location, there are very regularly because accidents often occur. They obviously came for a packet of fries here, but on Saturdays we have a lot of people. So we saw that the emergency services were on the spot, without knowing more. We are obviously affected by the event, because we are saddened for this family, ”explains the owner of the establishment whose employees were shocked by the laying of white tarpaulins in front of their workplace.

77-year-old Albert was an esteemed man known for his kindness.
