Dr. Ahmed Ghoneim, CEO of the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, confirmed that the museum’s restoration laboratories are completely safe, and that the museum’s advanced firefighting and warning systems were automatically activated as a result of dust and dust flying during the cleaning work of one of these laboratories that are under preparation before its operation.
Ghoneim said, in a statement, a short while ago, that the engineering department and industrial security at the museum immediately stopped operating these systems without loss of life or equipment.
According to the statement, the safety and security systems at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization are among the most modern systems in the world and are maintained periodically.
