Alarm bells ring for Shaheen Shah Afridi’s T20 leadership.

While giving a press conference at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore, Chairman PCB Mohsin Naqvi was asked regarding the possible leadership in T20 World Cup. Will or new will come, the decision will be made thoughtfully.

Chairman PCB said that many technical factors are being evaluated, the selection committee is consulting, a decision will be taken following the training camp is completed.

He said that once someone is made the captain, it will be for a long period, there will be no change following losing one match, the selection committee will also do regarding Mohammad Amir, the selectors have been appointed now, give them some time, positive. Things will start to unfold soon.

He said that Imad Wasim was only told in a one-pointed way to come back and play, there was a need to strengthen the team for the World Cup, he was told simply.

Chairman PCB said that the good performers of PSL 9 are being invited to the camp, will not listen to any lobby, the committee will work on merit, everyone wants to make a strong team for T20 World Cup, as per the contract. There will be uniform NOC policy for all leagues, no favoritism with any player.
