Alan Wake will be adapted in series by AMC

The AMC television channel has bought the rights for the adaptation of the universe of Alan Wake in television series.

Released in 2010 on Xbox, Alan Wake has become a video game legend in the space of a decade. When it was released, however, Remedy’s game met with mixed success. The new title from the creators of the excellent Max Payne disappoints with the lack of depth in its gameplay. His universe, on the other hand, seduces. And this is what will earn it its cult game status 10 years later.

Inspired by the stories of Stephen King, Alan Wake is an action/horror game set in New England, in which the famous writer Alan Wake is confronted with his own fantastic story.

A television series adaptation had been announced in 2018. However, the project seemed to have stalled for a while. The studio’s announcement of Alan Wake 2 a few months ago seems to have revived Hollywood’s interest in the show’s universe. AMC (The Walking Dead) studios have just bought the rights to adapt the saga.

AMC produces absolutely brilliant series” comments Sam Lake, the creator of the franchise. “They bought the rights to Alan Wake and we’re working with them to get the project off the ground. We have no further details to share at this time.”
