Recently, many players in the video game industry shared their financial statements to reveal the rest of the program… Today, it’s Remedy’s turn to present theirs. Can we say that it looks as busy as it is promising.

Alan Wake and Max Payne, two iconic heroes soon to return

After posting Quantum Break et Control, Remedy recently confessed to wanting to return to their first love by revealing in turn be on the development ofAlan Wake IIbut also on that of the remakes of the first two Max Payne 1 et 2 Remake. Today, the above-named productions are back in the limelight since during a round table with investors, the studio took stock of his roadmap and of course, the names of the games pop up several times.

Indeed, the Finnish studio gave news of Alan Wake II to say that the development is progressing well and that everything is still expected for the year 2023. The developer also announced that he was happy to see the enthusiastic public at the idea of revisiting the first adventures of Max Payne in remakes.

In early April, we announced a partnership with Rockstar Games for the remakes of Max Payne and Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne. Public response to this announcement has been overwhelmingly positive. Max Payne clearly has a special place in the hearts of gamers around the world. We are very excited to bring the revamped games to old and new fans. Remedy

The Control universe is growing

That’s not all. Remedy announces at the same time, without warning, to develop two new games Control. Yes, you read that right… The first is a multiplayer spin-off that unfortunately remains very mysterious and the second is a “bigger Control game” that we easily imagine to be Control 2 – especially since the first chapter leaves many unanswered questions. The development of this hypothetical Control 2 is currently “at the design stage”, in other words, the title is far from being released on our favorite machines.

Remedy has not finished surprising you since the Finnish house also announces that it is working on a free-to-play cooperative game which currently responds to the code name Vanguaurd. This new production is currently in the “proof of concept” stage and will normally be co-published by Tencent.

The good news in all of this is that we will be entitled to several major game launches over the next three years, between 2023 and 2025. This means that in addition to Alan Wake II, there will be at least one other game coming out by 2025 among the two Control, the free-to-play Vanguard and the two Max Payne remakes. On our side, we bet without wondering that it will be the latter.
