2023 promises to be quite the year for fans of the horror genre. Dead Space Remake, Resident Evil 4 Remake and Silent Hill 2 Remake (date not yet confirmed) are some of the big releases of the year, and now another title also seems closer. Alan Wake 2, a game announced at The Game Awards at The Game Awards 2021, is in full swing.
With the launch planned for 2023, some fans are still a little afraid and are concerned regarding a possible delay, including due to the lack of more information regarding the project, however, Tero Virtala, CEO of Remedy, brought good news to the public.
Alan Wake 2 is now fully playable
Although many players believe in a possible postponement of the sequel to Alan Wake, now fans have even more reason to believe that the title will actually be available in 2023, as predicted since the official announcement. CEO Tero Virtala commented on the project, stating that the game is in full production and is even playable from start to finish. The next step will be to complete all of the title’s content before the team proceeds to polish the game.
Virtala also stated that the franchise has great value for the company, even stating that Remedy expects even greater profit from Alan Wake Remastered generated by the release of the sequel, which should increase demand for the enhanced version of the first game.
Alan Wake 2 is in full production. Soon, the game will have all the content in place and it’s already playable from start to finish. Next, we’ll move on to polishing the experience. Alan Wake is a unique brand that holds high value for the company today.
Alan Wake Remastered has yet to generate royalties. However, we expect sales to pick up as the sequel’s release becomes imminent and fans and new players alike want to experience the original story on next-gen consoles.
Alan Wake 2 will be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC.
