Alan Wake 2: images, horror, and the TV series with AMC | Xbox One

Remedy is celebrating Alan Wake’s 12th birthday today and taking the opportunity to share some new images from the sequel, simply called Alan Wake 2. The opportunity also to learn a little more regarding the development of the game, but also regarding a TV series in preparation.

Remedy’s first survival horror game

In the video, Sam Lake, Ilkka Villi and Matthew Porretta discuss their progress on this sequel, and also specify that they will not show anything important regarding the game this summer. “Creating a proper and neat demo or trailer takes a lot of effort, and several months of work might interrupt development”. We will therefore have to wait a little longer before discovering this sequel.

The development of Alan Wake 2 seems advanced and the team specifies that the production is already well underway with a large part of the game which is already playable. It would also seem that this sequel ventures more towards horror than action, according to Sam Lake.

“We feel like we’re in a special moment and we want to make sure we’re creating Remedy’s best and first survival horror game. We don’t want to distract the team from that goal, so we’ll keep going and create a great gaming experience, and unfortunately you’ll have to wait a bit longer for a demo and trailer.

The release of Alan Wake 2 is scheduled for 2023 and it is Epic Games who will take care of the edition of the game. TV series, it is still planned and we learn that it is AMC who offered the rights to it. Its development should therefore accelerate.
