After the disappointment of a simple dematerialized version, the vast majority of players who own Alan Wake 2 agree that Remedy’s software is a true “masterpiece”. The developer, who was hoping for such success, intends to support his latest production with a substantial follow-up, the content of which is kept secret… well perhaps more completely.

Several videos leaked on the web

Dataminers have indeed struck once more. To tell the truth, it would be more accurate to say a dataminer. Although her identity has not been filtered, our secret finder focused on searching for any element that would allow her to learn more regarding the future of Alan Wake 2, research which apparently bore fruit since several videos are currently circulating on numerous websites and social networks.

Like our colleagues from VGCwe won’t share any direct links here, but be aware that each of them contains major spoiler-filled Alan Wake 2 sequences, leading to speculation that an alternate ending might be added to the game.

Another series of videos also reports a potential future DLC, possibly capable of further linking Alan Wake 2 to the rest of the Remedy universe. One of them features Doctor Darling, a secondary character in the game Control, also made by the developer.

In addition, textual information also suggests that all these additions would be planned for the title’s New Game Plus mode, which should arrive soon.

As a reminder, Remedy recently communicated the outlines of its roadmap with no less than two DLCs as well as free content that the studio promises “significant”.

Alan Wake 2 is available now on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC.
