From ‘Corrie’ Cobbles to Jungle Crown: Alan Halsall‘s Confidence Boost
Actor Alan Halsall, best known for his role on the long-running British soap opera “Coronation Street,” arrived in the Australian jungle sporting a confident new look. Eagle-eyed viewers may have noticed the actor’s picture-perfect trim, a far cry from the early signs of hair loss he’d begun to experience a few years back. Halsall’s transformation, it turns out, wasn’t a quick fix; his journey towards hair restoration was a multi-year commitment that involved two separate hair transplant procedures.

Halsall’s first foray into hair restoration took place back in 2016 at the Farjo Hair Institute, a renowned clinic with locations in both London and Manchester. While seeking to address early signs of hair loss, the “Corrie” star wasn’t shy about sharing his experience, publicly praising the procedure and advocating for openness around hair loss solutions.
Three years later, he opted for a second procedure at the same clinic, adding 3725 grafts to the front and top of his hairline.
“It’s nothing to be ashamed of,” Halsall said at the time, defending his decision to undergo the second surgery.
Prior to heading into the jungle for the 2024 season of ‘I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!’, Halsall took to social media, sharing before and after pictures of his hair transformation. “I’ve spoken with so many men who have confidence issues because of their hair,” he wrote. “Maybe this will let some of them know they have options and people have it done all the time. It’s not something to be ashamed of.”
The Farjo clinic was equally enthusiastic about Halsall’s resurgence, sharing his success story on Instagram. A picture of Halsall in the midst of his second procedure accompanied a glowing caption: “Anyone recognise our recent hair transplant patient? It was great to have @alanhalsall come back into @farjohairinstitute for his second hair transplant, after being thrilled with the results from his first procedure! We’re so glad we could help Alan get his confidence back!”
Halsall seems to be embracing the jungle experience, quickly becoming a fan favorite. He even tackled a challenging BushTucker trial on Thursday evening, pitting himself against McFly frontman Danny Jones and Radio 1 host Dean McCullough in the Rank Bank challenge. The trio competed to complete four grueling races, with the winner earning a hefty sum for their team’s account.

The dreadful task involved using nothing but their mouths to empty boxes filled with fish guts and fish eyes. As a practicing vegetarian, Halsall may not have been thrilled about the gruesome task. But, undeterred, he powered through, ultimately securing the victory and winning $1100 for his blue team.
Halsall isn’t the only contestant on this year’s show who’s opted for a trustworthiness boost before entering the jungle. Fellow contestant, Dean McCullough, also underwent a hair transplant prior to heading Down Under.
What were Alan Halsall’s reasons for openly discussing his hair transplant journey publicly?
