(CNN) An Alabama woman who has been missing since the 13th has returned home safely on the night of the 15th. The woman had been lost following making an emergency call to say she saw a toddler walking alone on the side of Interstate 459.
Carcia Carly Nicole Russell, 25, has gone missing. Hoover Police said Russell called the emergency number 911 before she stopped the car to check on the child and called her family. However, it is said that it was not possible to contact them while the line was connected.
Police arrived at the scene and found Russell’s car, wig, mobile phone, wallet and other belongings. But there was no sign of Russell or the child.
After that, around 10:45 pm on the 15th, 911 received a call that Russell had walked home.
Police and firefighters were called and rushed Russell to a nearby hospital. Russell was treated in hospital and sent home.
Russell’s whereregardings have not been known since Wednesday and no further details have been released at this time. The police are continuing the investigation by listening to Mr. Russell’s circumstances and examining the video of the camera installed on the road at the scene and the contents of the 911 call.
Russell’s disappearance led to a massive 48-hour search in the area, with police offering a $25,000 reward.
Police said Russell left work at around 8:20 p.m. on Saturday and went to a restaurant to pick up the meal he had ordered. No one has been found with Russell between leaving the restaurant and calling 911.
