A third suspect has been arrested following the shooting at a teenage birthday party in Alabama that left four dead. The men between the ages of 16 and 20 are charged with murder.

Alabama police have arrested a third suspect in connection with the fatal shooting at a birthday party. Police say the man is in his 20s.

Two young people aged 16 and 17 were arrested on Tuesday. All three suspects are charged with murder. At a press conference in the small town of Dadeville, prosecutor Mike Segrest said the two teenagers should be treated under adult criminal law.

“A very complex case”

The authorities did not provide any further information on the background to the crime and a possible motive, citing the ongoing investigation. It’s a “very complex case,” Segrest said.

According to the authorities, the arrested 20-year-old comes from Auburn, which is 40 kilometers northwest of Dadeville. The two teenager suspects live in Tuskegee, which is 30 miles south of Dadeville.

Four people remain in mortal danger

The fatal shots were fired on Saturday night in a dance hall in Dadeville, where a girl was celebrating her 16th birthday. The incident killed four people, aged 17, 18, 19 and 23, and injured 32 others. Four of them were still in a life-threatening condition, according to Segrest.

Fatal gun attacks are a regular occurrence in the United States, where private gun ownership is rife. According to the Gun Violence Archive website, more than 20,200 people died from guns in the past year alone, not including suicides. yes
