Al-Zaabi: The current final of the “Most Valuable Cups” is different from the previous finals

Rashid Al Zaabi, President of the Football Company at Al Wahda Club (Your Excellency), expressed his conviction that the 2022 edition of the President’s Cup final will be distinguished.

Their Excellencies traveled to the “Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium”, where they will clash with Sharjah (the King) to be crowned with the “most valuable trophies”.

The final match was supposed to be held in May 2022, but the death of the late Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in addition to the participation of our UAE team in the Asian qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup, forced the postponement.

Al-Zaabi confirmed, “The current final is different from the previous finals, as it comes and the teams are at the height of their preparations, after they have played only 6 rounds of the ADNOC Professional League, unlike the usual when the final is played at the end of the season.”

He added, in statements reported by the Emirati newspaper, Al Bayan, “I hope that the two teams will present a strong and enjoyable confrontation worthy of being a final for the President of the State.”

Regarding the expectations that anticipate the start of the meeting, Al-Zaabi stressed that the cup finals “are not subject to nominations, and it is difficult to predict their outcome.”

The head of the football company touched on the readiness of his team, declaring, “The unit is ready in all physical, technical and psychological aspects, and the morale of the team is very good, and everyone has the incentive to appear at the best level.”
