The Argentine newspaper, Racing Dilma, revealed the efforts of Al Wasl (the Emperor) to borrow Thomas Shankly from the Argentine Racing Club.
The 23-year-old is one of the most promising names in Racing Club, since he first played for him in 2021.
Given his convincing levels above the green rectangle, Shanclay won the honor of representing the Argentine national under-20 team, in 2019.
Shankly is mainly active in the center of the left wing, but he also occupies the position of the right wing, or plays as a second striker, when the need arises.
Racing Dilma said that negotiations have reached an advanced stage between the emperor and Racing Club, especially since the Argentine club’s technical staff does not mind dispensing with the services of the owner of the number 28 shirt.
And the newspaper claimed that Al Wasl will borrow Shanclay for one season for 1.5 million euros, while retaining the right to buy the player at the end of the 2022-2023 season.
