Al-Sisi and Bin Salman discuss the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip and Lebanon

Al-Sisi and Bin Salman held an extensive session of discussions at the Ittihadiya Palace in Cairo.
According to the Saudi Royal Court in a statement, the Crown Prince’s visit to Egypt came based on the direction of Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz.
The meeting discussed regional developments, most notably the situation in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon.
Al-Sisi and Bin Salman stressed the seriousness of the regional situation and the need to stop the escalation, stressing that the establishment of a sovereign Palestinian state, in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions, is the only way to achieve calm, peace and security in the region in a sustainable manner.
The Egyptian President and the Saudi Crown Prince discussed the attempts to liquidate the Palestinian issue, and the pressures exerted by Israel to impose forced displacement, stressing that attempts to liquidate the Palestinian issue would cause the continuation of the state of conflict in the region.
Al-Sisi and the Saudi Crown Prince called for the initiation of steps to calm the situation, including a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and in Lebanon, addressing the worsening humanitarian conditions, and stopping brinkmanship policies in order to stop the expanding circle of conflict.
The bilateral summit included an Egyptian-Saudi emphasis on “the necessity of respecting Lebanon’s sovereignty, security, stability and territorial integrity,” in light of the continued Israeli violations against Lebanon and its operations launched in Lebanese territory.
The Egyptian President and the Saudi Crown Prince also discussed a number of regional issues, most notably the security of the Red Sea region, and the situation in Sudan, Libya and Syria.
