Al-Marsad newspaper: The family doctor, Dr. Saud Al-Shehri, revealed today, Sunday, the “Sheikh Al-Masdar” to solve the problem of vitamin D deficiency; This saves 25% of healthcare budgets.
Al-Shehri said in a video clip on his Twitter account: “Did you know that solving the problem of (vitamin D) deficiency in people only saves 25% of health care budgets, because it creates many problems.”
He added, “The best and purest source of (vitamin D) is the sun, which causes the cholesterol under the skin to be converted into (vitamin D), which goes between the kidneys and the liver and releases the active (vitamin D3).”
Al-Shehri concluded, “We do not forget salmon, sardines, tuna, mushrooms, eggs, some milk and fortified yogurt, but the sheikh of sources (the sun) stays from 30 to 20 minutes, three times a week is enough.”
