Al-Shehri answers and reveals the benefits of each

Al-Marsad newspaper: The family doctor, Dr. Saud Al-Shehri, revealed which is the best black coffee (espresso or cappuccino) or the Saudi one.

Al-Shehri explained that Saudi coffee is better because it is not roasted to a large extent, and therefore retains the chlorogenic acid that is useful in lowering sugar, pressure, triglycerides, and harmful cholesterol, and reduces weight and raises the level of awareness, as well as acts as a detox, cleansing the liver and anti-cancer.

He added that when roasting black coffee, chlorogenic acid loses to melanoid, which is less useful, as it is an antioxidant, lowers pressure, kills bacteria and is an antimicrobial.

He added that Saudi roasted coffee has less caffeine, and therefore Saudi coffee is higher in caffeine, which is beneficial in the cognitive process, and is attributed to it fighting cirrhosis.

He continued that Saudi coffee is added to useful substances such as cardamom and ginger.
