Al-Nasr Saudi Arabia signs the Spaniard Alvaro Gonzalez

The Spanish defender’s contract with the Mediterranean club expired on August 1.

Al-Nasr entered into negotiations with some defenders, such as the Belgian Jason Denayer and the American John Brooks, and he was close to bringing the first, had it not been for the disagreement over some terms of the contract.

Defender Alvaro had previously defended the colors of four Spanish clubs, namely Racing Santander in 2009, Real Zaragoza (2012), Espanyol (2014) and Villarreal (2016), before moving to Marseille in 2019 on loan initially and then on a final deal the following year. He also played with the Spain national under-21 team in 2013.

Gonzalez became the fifth deal for victory in the summer Mercato, which he started with Colombian goalkeeper David Ospina, Ivorian Gislan Konan, then Brazilian Luiz Gustavo, and Saudi international Abdul Rahman Gharib.
