Private sources revealed to Al-Riyadiya that Al-Nasr Club intends to benefit from the services of Colombian David Ospina, the first team goalkeeper, during the current AFC Champions League competitions, following he was absent throughout the last period due to injury, and his removal from the rosters.
The same sources indicated that the Al-Asmi Club took a proactive step in preparation for returning the player to its ranks by registering his name in the TMS system for registering professional players, earlier as an indication of his entry into the technical accounts of the Portuguese Luis Castro, the team’s coach.
According to the same sources, Al-Nasr will likely benefit from Ospina’s services during the final rounds of the AFC Champions League, if everything goes normally.
For his part, Al-Nasr coach Luis Castro confirmed, on Monday, that he does not have any information regarding the participation of goalkeeper Ospina with the team in the AFC Champions League, in answer to a question during the press conference before facing Al-Duhail, Qatar, on Tuesday, and he said: “I do not have information. Can he play? or not”.
Al-Riyadiyah had indicated in its October 16 issue that Ospina was technically and physically ready following recovering from the injury he sustained in his elbow, as a result of which he underwent two surgeries.
