Al-Mustaqbal shakes hands with Geagea: “Leave the Sunni majority as it is!”

At a time when it is awaiting crystallization of Prime Minister Saad Hariri’s decision on whether or not to run in the parliamentary elections, in the light of which the map of his alliances will become clear, it seems that the Future Movement decided to cut off any opportunity for an alliance with the “Lebanese Forces”, declaring that it had become a “former ally”.

This position was expressed by its Secretary-General, Ahmed Hariri, who launched a stinging and unprecedented attack on the head of the “Lebanese Forces” party, Samir Geagea, calling on him to leave the Sunni majority “as is.”

Hariri’s statement appeared to show the extent of “future” tension towards Geagea due to his separation “between the Sunni majority and its political leadership,” considering that what is meant by this separation is “definitely the Future Movement,” which indicates fear among the Blue Movement of Geagea’s seizure of Sunni votes and his exploitation of his retreat and absence from the scene. .

This attack came in response to Geagea’s statement that “the Sunni majority are our allies, of course, at the popular level, not the leadership, and everyone who shares our proposals will be in harmony with him, and things can no longer tolerate truces.”

Hariri considered that this is not the first time that Geagea has tried to “separate the Sunni majority from its political leadership, as he considers the Sunni majority to be his allies at the popular level and not at the leadership level,” noting that “this separation is definitely meant for the Future Movement and its leadership, unless Dr. . Samir Geagea considers that some of the political crumbs who flirt with Maarab have become a reliable majority, and it is possible to hire them wholesale or retail so that they are under the forces’ tent.”

Hariri directed “advice from a former ally of Al-Hakim,” saying: “Play in your stadium as you wish and live the dreams you desire, but leave the Sunni majority alone and stop the policy of dividing ranks between it and its political leadership. The advice was in sentences, but today it is for free!”
