Al Markaziya – Bronze Medal for International Shooter Ray Bassil in the World Cup

Lebanese shooting achieved a new external achievement, with international shooter Ray Bassil winning a bronze medal in the Olympic pit shooting competition “Trap” for the World Cup, which was held in Blunato (Italy) with the participation of 78 female shooters from a selection of world and Olympic champions.

Bassil qualified for the final round, finishing third behind British shooter Kirsty Hegarty, who took first place and runner-up Augusta Martin from Puerto Rico.

After winning the bronze, Basil expressed her joy at her new achievement, which is added to the series of achievements she previously achieved at the external level.

After her coronation, the President of the Lebanese Olympic Committee congratulated the head of the Shooting and Fishing Federation, Pierre Galakh, El-Ramyeh Bassil, for winning the bronze medal in one of the biggest foreign awards.

It is noteworthy that the Lebanese national team participating in the World Cup consisted, in addition to the shooter Basil, of the shooters Leah Kurban, Ahmed Dakour and Zaid Mezher, who achieved good results.

The Lebanese shooting sport has many foreign participations at the international, continental and Mediterranean levels, led by the World Championships in Croatia next October.
