The delegation of the Lebanese national swimming team returned following participating in the 19th World Championships for the 50-meter basin in the Hungarian capital, Budapest, consisting of the Federation’s Secretary-General, Farid Abi Raad (head of the delegation), coach Francois Ghattas, and the players Munther Kabara, Adib Khalil, Simon Kabbara and Marie Khoury.

The results were as follows:

Munther Kabara – 18 years and over (Mont LaSalle Club):
200 meters individual medley: Recorded 2.04.66 minutes and finished 29th out of 44 participants
400 m individual medley: Recorded 4.24.5 minutes and finished 23rd out of 30 participants

Adeeb Khalil -18 years and over (Mon LaSalle Club):
400 meters freestyle: he scored 4.02.64 minutes and finished 36 out of 43 participants
1500 meters freestyle: he scored 16.12.11 minutes and came in 22nd place out of 23 participants

Marie Khoury – 18 years and over (Al Safra Club):

50 meters freestyle: she recorded 27.40 seconds and finished 48 out of 82 participants
50m backstroke: She clocked 30.57 seconds and ranked 28 out of 39 participants

Simon Kabbara, 17 years old (Mon LaSalle Club):
200 m individual meds: 2.25.39 d, and ranked 34th out of 38 participants
400 m individual medley: Recorded 5.07.33. She ranked 18 out of 20 participants
