In implementation of the annual calendar, the Committee of Trainers of the Lebanese Taekwondo Federation, under its supervision, organized a refinement and preparation course for all coaches of different grades at the National Teams Training Center and the holding of Champions Elite training courses – Rome, in the presence of the Federation President, Dr. Habib Zarifa, and members of the Federation, Master Hussein Zuaiter and Grand Master Elie Nehme, chairs of committees, lecturers and members of the trainers’ committee. A total of 148 male and female trainers of various degrees participated in the course.

The session opened with the Lebanese national anthem, and then Dr. Zarifa gave a welcoming speech, stressing the positiveness of holding the course despite all the circumstances the country is going through and maintaining the Taekwondo game at its sporting level with superiority, believing in a better future, adding that it is possible to host the Asian Championship once more for the second year in a row. He concluded his speech by thanking the efforts of all the union’s administrators, technicians, heads and members of the committees.

The course included the following lectures:

– A lecture by Master Elie Shro (Chairman of the Pomsya Committee) on the details of the Pompeii in terms of training and arbitration

A lecture by Dr. Richard Abizaid, Chairman of the Medical Committee, on first aid and steroids.

A lecture by Master Eli Elia, a member of the National Teams Committee, on training and preparing the player for free combat.

– A lecture by Master Daniel Khorsangian, Chairman of the Referees Committee for Free Fighting, on arbitration and the new amendments to the Free Fighting Refereeing System.

– A lecture by Grand Master Fadi Nabulsi, Chairman of the Committee on the art of crushing and performances, on the arbitration law of crushing in tournaments and the method of training for performances

The session was concluded with a speech by the Chairman of the Grand Master Coaches Committee, Alan Najm, explaining several basic points regarding the coach’s specifications in terms of behavior and discipline, adherence to the rules and laws of the Federation and the game in general, and the coach’s duties towards students and respect for the highest rank, members, chairmen of committees, referees in matches and all members of the Union. He praised the efforts made by the trainers to follow up on their tasks in training, despite the difficult current conditions.

The course ended with a group photo taken, and the concerned trainers were retained to take the exam assigned to them.
