A source in Manchester United said Thursday that striker Cristiano Ronaldo will not travel with the team on a pre-season tour in Thailand and Australia, following he took a break to finish some family matters.
The future of the 37-year-old Portuguese star at Old Trafford has become the source of much speculation following it was reported that he had told the club of his desire to leave to play in the Champions League next season.
But the source confirmed that the Portuguese international, who has a year left on his contract, is not for sale.
United will start their foreign tour once morest Liverpool in Bangkok on July 12, before facing Melbourne Victory and Crystal Palace. He will also play with Aston Villa in Perth on July 23.
It is not yet clear when Ronaldo will return to the squad.
