Spain’s Rafael Nadal, ranked fifth in the world, won the French Open (Roland Garros) following defeating Norway’s Casper Ruud (the eighth seed) on Sunday, in the final match, 3-0.
Nadal won 6/3 6/3 6/0 to win the Roland Garros Championship for the 14th time in history, and he is the most crowned player in the tournament, followed by Brazilian Gustavo Kuerten with 4 titles and Novak Djokovic with two titles with Spaniard Serge Bruguera.
Nadal won the Roland Garros titles in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2022.
By winning the title, Nadal, who turned 36 on June 3, surpassed Andres Gimeno, and the Spaniard became the oldest player to win Roland Garros in history.
