The Spanish newspaper, Mundo Deportivo, reported that Barcelona President Joan Laporta sent a message to Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski, following the player’s recent statements regarding the Catalan team.
And Lewandowski, in public statements, expressed his desire to move to the Catalan giant and leave Bayern Munich during the current summer transfer window 2022, despite his club’s insistence on continuing until the end of his contract in June 2023.
The newspaper “Mundo Deportivo” said that Laporta contacted Lewandowski’s agent by phone, and asked him to thank the Polish for his recent statements regarding his desire to represent Barcelona.
According to the report, it is expected that Lewandowski, the top scorer in the German Bundesliga, will continue to pressure Bayern Munich to allow him to leave during the coming period.
The Polish star refused to apologize to Bayern’s management, represented by sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic, for his statements that attacked the club recently.
