Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic said that striker Robert Lewandowski has informed club officials of his desire to leave, and not to renew his contract.
Before the last game of the season at the Wolfsburg stadium, “Hamidic” confirmed speculation that the second top scorer in the league in history might be on his way to leave, despite the extension of his contract until 2023.
Hamidzic told Sky Germany: “I spoke to Lewandowski, and he told me during the discussion that he would not accept our offer to renew his contract, and his desire to leave.
“He told us that he wanted to do something else, but our position has not changed, and the fact is that his contract runs until June 30, 2023.”
And the media had said that Lewandowski might move to Barcelona.
And the German sports station “Sport 1” had said that Barcelona was waiting for a statement from Bayern regarding the financial value he wanted in exchange for the departure of Lewandowski, whose contract with Bayern continues until the end of June 2023.
Press reports indicate that Bayern Munich is close to surrendering to the fait accompli and agreeing to the departure of Leva, next summer, so as not to lose him for free in June 2023.
