The Lebanese Football Association held a meeting with the heads and secretaries of the division clubs at the headquarters of the Federation, in the presence of the President of the Federation, Mr. Hashem Haidar, and the Secretary-General, Mr. Jihad Al-Shahf, where they discussed the organizational procedures for the General League Championship for the 2022-2023 sports season.

Representatives of the clubs attended, where Al-Safa was represented by President Riad Atallah, Al-Ansar President Nabil Badr and Secretary Nabil Sinno, the star President Mazen Al-Za’ni, Al-Burj Secretary General Hamad Rahal, Al-Salam Zgharta, Club Director Boutros Karam, Shabab Al-Sahel President Samir Dabouq, Al-Shabab Ghazieh Secretary Ali Hassoun , Solidarity Tyre, Administrative Director Ghazwan Bahr, Covenant President Tamim Suleiman and Secretary Muhammad Assi, Wisdom Vice President Camille Saadeh, and Tripoli President Salim Mikati.

Mr. Hashem Haider opened the session by thanking the heads of the clubs and the financiers who support their clubs and ensure their continuity despite the difficult circumstances. Mr. Haidar considered that everyone’s work is integrated, as there are responsibilities that fall on the shoulders of the Federation, and there are responsibilities that fall on the shoulders of the clubs. In the event that each party performs its duties, then the work will be straightened and things will go in the right way.

It was decided in the meeting that the clubs will be responsible for the actions of their fans, and that the Lebanese Federation will apply the laws against violators in an equal manner among all clubs.

It was also decided that the Executive Committee of the Federation would decide the fate of the Super Cup match and the resulting decisions after the events it witnessed.
