Esperance Club was crowned the Tunisian League champion, for the 2021/2022 season, following winning 2/1 once morest Ittihad Ben Guerdane on Sunday, in the tenth and final round of the coronation group, while USM Monastir tied 2/2 with Sfaxien. Esperance won the Tunisian League title for the 32nd time in its history, as the club with the most titles and the sixth in a row.
While the African won the title 13 times (the last of which was the 2014/2015 season), ES Sahel 10 times (the last of the 2015/2016 season), and Sfaxien 8 times (the last of the 2012/2013 season).
At the “Hammadi Al-Aqrabi” stadium, Fakhreddine Al-Auji scored a goal for Ittihad Ben Guerdane in the sixth minute, and Esperance equalized in the 85th minute with a goal signed by Mohamed Ali Bin Hamouda, before the winning goal signed by Elias Sheti in the 90 + 8 minute, to win the title.
Sfaxien’s goals were scored by Chadi Hammami in the 21st and 35th minutes, while Roger Aholou scored the reduction goal for USM Monastir in the 71st minute, before Youssef Abdali scored the equalizer for USM Monastir in the 88th minute.
The win raised Esperance’s tally to 24 points, two ahead of USM Monastir, while CS Sfaxien has 16 points in third place. The African comes in fourth place with 15 points, then Etoile du Sahel is in fifth place with 13 points.
And for the same round, ES Sahel tied negatively with the African.
