Shabab Al Sahel qualified for the semi-finals of the Elite Cup for the 2022-2023 sports season, following beating Al Borg 2-1 on Sunday in the last round of the preliminary stage in Group A competitions, at the Fouad Chehab Complex Stadium in Jounieh.
Al-Sahel opened the scoring in the 30th minute through the player Mohamed Haider, and a minute before the end of the original time, Al-Borg tied the score 1-1 through the player Mohamed Sadiq (89), and Hussein Jawad Khalifa scored the winning goal for the coast in the 90+8 minute.
The match was led by the referee Kazem Al-Khansa and assisted by Salim Siraj (first assistant), Ali Al-Hajj (second assistant), Zaher Al-Boutari (fourth referee) and watched by Rudy Majdalani.
And at Amin Abdel Nour Stadium in Bhamdoun, Al-Ansar snatched the lead in Group B in time instead of lost following drawing 2-2 with Al-Tadamon Tyre.
Al-Tadamon Tire advanced with two clean goals in the first half, scored by Adnan Melhem (18) and Karim Mansour (39 penalty kicks), and Al-Ansar waited until the 80th minute to score the goal of reducing the teams through Karim Darwish, before Khaled Ali scored the equalizer for Al-Ansar in the third minute of the time instead of Ansa lost, to lead Al-Ansar with 4 points, with a goal difference from Al-Tadamon Tire.
The match was led by referee Ali Shams and assisted by Muhammad Harb (first assistant), Muhammad Al-Harka (second assistant), and Wajdi Khaddaj (fourth referee) and was watched by Saeed Abdel-Khaleq.
Al-Ahed (first group) will meet with Al-Tadamon Tire (second group), while Al-Ansar (first group second) will meet Shabab Al-Sahel (second group one) in the semi-finals, timing and stadiums will be determined later.
