Al-Manar Sports.com » The Portuguese government gives official approval to sell Chelsea

The deal to sell Chelsea FC is finally over, awaiting club confirmation; This is after the Portuguese government issued the final approval for Todd Buhli’s acquisition of the club.

The Portuguese government authorized the sale of the club, which is necessary to enable Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich, who also holds Portuguese citizenship, to carry out the process.

Portugal decided to allow the deal to take place after British authorities gave it a guarantee that the income generated would “be used for humanitarian purposes” and that the owner would not benefit directly or indirectly from it, according to a Portuguese foreign ministry statement.

American investor Bohli is awaiting the official announcement by Chelsea to acquire the English club, in a record deal worth four billion and 250 million euros (five billion and 300 million dollars).
