Serbian Novak Djokovic, the world’s third and defending champion, qualified for the third round of the Wimbledon Championships, the third Grand Slam in tennis, following defeating Australian Tanasi Kokinakis in three sets.
The Serbian won the match in two hours and 3 minutes, 6-1, 6-4, 6-2.

“I am very happy with my performance today… It was not easy to serve because of the wind,” the Serbian said, noting that Wednesday’s matches were postponed by regarding two hours due to rain, except for the main court where Djokovic played and the number one stadium with retractable roofs.
“I can say that I am happy with the way I increased my performance in two days and I hope to continue to improve as the tournament progresses.”
